Cost and time savings
The low viscosity of Kollicoat® IR Coating Systems in water enables high solids levels and leads to short process times. Solids levels as high as 25% to 30% are recommended in coating suspensions prepared with Kollicoat® IR Coating Systems because viscosities are below 200 mPa•s. In contrast to Kollicoat® IR Coating Systems, PVA- and HPCM-based reference products are recommended to be handled at less than 20% and 15%, respectively.
