High-quality film coating
The excellent product properties enable an easy scale up. The process parameter chart visualizes the robustness of a process by increasing or decreasing of product temperature at a certain spray process time. The dark green color in the process parameter chart indicates a large parameter range that will result in optimum film properties. As to the large parameter range the process is very robust. The film coating trials were performed with Kollicoat® IR Brilliant Blue in a Vector LDCS coating machine at 2kg batch size.
The very low viscosity as well as excellent wetting and adhesion to the tablet surface ensure that even your fine engravings are uniformly coated. No logo bridging occurs. The scanning electron micrograph belows shows a tablet coated with Kollicoat® IR White II at a coating level of 5 mg/cm2.
Kollicoat® IR leads to extremely flexible films. They are significantly more flexible than those made of a comparable PVA- or HPMC-based product.
