Solubilizers, Solvents & Cosolvents

1,2-Propylene Glycol Pharma

1,2-Propylene glycol for use as a solvent in injectables and in soft gelatine capsules. It is also used in other liquid and semi-liquid dosage forms.

Cremophor® A 25

Macrogol 25 cetostearyl ether (Ph.Eur.). Nonionic solubilizer and emulsifier for ointments and creams based on O/W emulsions.

Cremophor® A 6

Macrogol 6 cetostearyl ether (Ph.Eur.). Nonionic solubilizer and emulsifier for ointments and creams based on emulsions. It is used mainly in O/W emulsions, but it can also be used in W/O preparations.

Cremophor® EL

Macrogol glycerol ricinoleate 35 (DAC/Ph.Eur.). Nonionic solubilizer and emulsifier for oral, topical and parenteral preparations.

Cremophor® ELP

Like Cremophor® EL, Cremophor® ELP is a nonionic solubilizer produced via a purification process.

Cremophor® RH 40

Macrogol-glycerol hydroxystearate 40 (DAB/Ph.Eur.). Nonionic solubilizer and emulsifier for oral and topical preparations.

Kollidon® 12 PF | Kollidon® 17 PF

Low-molecular weight povidones, pyrogen-free, for use as a solubilizing agent, crystallization inhibitor and suspension stabilizer in injectables and ophthalmic products.

Lutrol® E 300 | Lutrol® E 400

The Lutrol® E grades are liquid polyethylene glycols (macrogols) with different molecular weights, viscosities and applications. The main application is as a solvent for oral, topical and parenteral applications.

Lutrol® F 127

Lutrol® F 127 (Poloxamer 407) is used mainly as a gel former, thickening agent and solubilizer in oral and topical solutions and as a stabilizer in oral and topical suspensions.

Lutrol® F 68

Lutrol® F 68 (Poloxamer 188) is used mainly as an emulsifier, solubilizer and suspension stabilizer in liquid oral, topical and parenteral preparations, as a plasticizer and to increase the bioavailability of active ingredients in solid preparations.

Lµtrol® micro 127

Micronized Lutrol® F 127, mainly used as bioavailability enhancer in solid oral dosage forms and as a water soluble lubricant.

Lµtrol® micro 68

Micronized Lutrol® F 68, mainly used as bioavailability enhancer in solid oral dosage forms and as a water soluble lubricant.

Soluphor® P

2-Pyrrolidone used as a solvent for injectables, mainly in the animal health. When it is used in topical preparations, it accelerates the absorption of the active substance.

Soluplus®

Soluplus is a polymeric solubilizer with an amphiphilic chemical structure, which was particularly developed for solid solutions.

Solutol® HS 15

Macrogol 15 hydroxystearate. Nonionic solubilizer in paste form for use in human and veterinary parenteral preparations.
